Where did you grow up?
Michigan
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I trained in pediatrics and internal medicine. I liked Allergy because I could follow the entire family since allergies tend to run in families. I also like the continuity of patient care in Allergy.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I have been here for over 5 years. I like Loudoun county, it is a nice place to raise a family.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
Spending time with my family, I have one son and one daughter.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
As a provider, I feel proud when patients are happy with the care they received and I'm recognized on patient surveys. On a personal level, I want to be a good mom who can balance work and family. My kids are my proudest accomplishments.
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
If I were not an allergist searching for a cure for food allergies, then maybe I would become a food critic and go to different restaurants and try new foods and meet new people.
